Who We Are

We, at the Adelaide University Swing Dancing Club (AUSDC) are a group of students and public that love to Dance, have fun and make friends.

The Club offers regular lessons, as well as social events and the chance to get out and amongst the greater Adelaide swing dancing community.

If you love to have fun, meet new people, and enjoy music and dance, then the AUSDC is for you!

What is Swing Dancing?

Swing is a fast paced, dynamic dance that originated in the United States in the 1920s to 1950s.

It is commonly danced to Swinging-Jazz music, and has many variants including East Coast Swing, Lindy Hop, Charleston, Balboa, West Coast Swing, Blues, Shag, Jive & more. Although commonly danced as a partner-dance, swing also comprises solo jazz dancing & group routines.
